This term all the children in Year 2 have been learning and thinking about ourselves and our future. During our Class assembly we took the audience on a journey, we visited our past, we discussed the present and then we travelled into 2020 where we thought about our future aspirations!
I wonder what we will grow up to be?
"I want to be a fireman so I need to try hard with my learning" Lewis.
"I would like to be a teacher when I get bigger so I need to listen carefully and always try me best" Taylor.
In our number work we have been trying hard to learn the 2, 5, and 10 x tables. We have also tried very hard to solve number problems using all four of the calculation operations: x + - ÷ . In our reading diaries you can have a look at our learning targets for numeracy as well as finding our targets for writing and reading. Miss Coles adds in these targets each half term, during this time we get time to use reflecto to help us to add our own learning target. Why don't you take a look?
After October half term we found out that The Jolly Postman's sack had been stolen.............
So, we decided to help the Jolly Postman try to find his letters. We thought about who we thought had stolen it and why. Weeks later following a police enquiry we found out that a man named Burglar Bill had stolen it and the reason....... he wanted to read everyone's letters because he is nosy. We then wrote to the Jolly Postman to let him know what had happened.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our web page, we hope you will continue to logon and check out all the super things we get upto in Class 2.
We would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
From Class 2, Miss Coles, Mrs Machin and Mrs Howells.
